ReviveThe5 is a movement led by its visionary LaVon Clack.
This movement, ReviveThe5, is dedicated to the revitalization of District 5 by combining the resources, efforts, talents and strategies of community & program leaders alongside the residents of the neighborhood.
This platform encourages interactive feedback from the community so there can always be awareness of the challenges its residents face with a focus on being solution-based and not the lip-service patronizing approach residents have grown accustomed to. As long as you have love and a passion for District 5, there is a place for you in this movement.
OUR FOCUS
Violence Prevention
Collaborating and partnering with LMPD, Louisville Metro Police Activities League (PAL), Office of Violence Prevention, and other local agencies to develop targeted, district-specific strategies that keep our neighborhoods safe.
Youth Development
Empowering youth in our district by developing programs and collaborative partnerships that provide mentorship, education, and opportunities for growth.
Senior Citizens
Supporting our senior citizens and veterans by addressing their most pressing needs, including reliable transportation, access to healthcare, social engagement, and community activities.
Educatiion
Identifying students in grades 6-12 who are performing below grade level and partnering with JCPS and local agencies to provide affective after-school programs that support learning, growth, and academic success
Workforce Development
Developing the skilled labor & blue collar workforce of District 5. Connecting our citizens with the tools and resources to build careers that provide prosperous wages to support their families is of the highest priorities of Reviving The 5.
