Proven Leadership • Community-Driven Vision • Real Results
LaVon Clack is a lifelong Louisvillian, nonprofit leader, and community builder dedicated to empowering youth, strengthening families, and creating safer, thriving neighborhoods across Louisville’s West End. As Founder and Executive Director of Prominent Youth of America (PYOA), LaVon has helped hundreds of young people find their voice through arts, media, and technology—offering creative alternatives to violence and poverty.
LaVon has partnered with over 20 community organizations across Louisville and secured major grants from the Office for Violence Prevention and the Fund for the Arts, leading programs in community centers and schools that focus on violence prevention and youth empowerment. As Director of Community Engagement for the Sickle Cell Association of Kentuckiana, LaVon worked alongside Kentucky State Senator Gerald Neal to improve hospital care protocols for patients living with Sickle Cell Disease. His advocacy took him to Washington, D.C., where he met with members of Congress to champion federal awareness and resources for Kentucky’s Sickle Cell Warriors.
